In this role, you will lead high-impact organizational process, and technology change across a global matrix—turning strategy into sustained behavior change and value realization.
Working at the heart of Global IT, you will shape end-to-end change strategy, coach senior leaders, and drive execution from early discovery through launch and reinforcement. You will enjoy working in ambiguity, bring structure and pace, and tell compelling stories with data to influence outcomes across regions and functions. Can you build momentum behind a clear case for change while ensuring teams reach proficiency faster and stay engaged?
Accountabilities:
End-to-end change leadership: Define the case for change, align sponsors, and lead implementation, stabilization, and reinforcement to achieve sustained adoption and benefits.
Fit-for-purpose methodology: Select, tailor, and blend leading frameworks (ADKAR, Kotter, Lean Change, Bridges, Lewin, McKinsey 7S) into pragmatic plans that fit the context.
Change strategy and integrated planning: Develop and deliver integrated change and communications strategies that drive engagement, adoption, and consumption of organizational, process, and technology changes.
Executive sponsorship and governance: Build sponsor coalitions, coach senior sponsors, and provide executive-ready updates and recommendations; establish governance rhythms and leadership alignment.
Collaborator and resistance management: Conduct collaborator, impact, and readiness assessments; diagnose resistance and implement targeted mitigations to remove barriers to adoption.
Adoption and value measurement: Define success measures such as adoption/usage, time-to-proficiency, readiness and sentiment; create feedback loops, analyze insights, and course-correct to protect outcomes.
Portfolio awareness and change saturation: Map dependencies and saturation risks, and recommend sequencing and pacing to safeguard capacity and benefits.
Consulting partnership across Global IT: Run discovery, provide advisory recommendations, and support implementation, partnering across levels, geographies, and teams.
Enablement and capability uplift: Train, coach, and facilitate to uplift change capability across the organization in both in-person and virtual settings.
CoE build and scale: Grow the Organizational Change Community of Practice by planning and facilitating engaging, collaborative community meetings.
Reusable assets and knowledge management: Develop and maintain tools, templates, guidance, and resources to enable consistent, scalable delivery.
High-quality communications: Craft clear, culturally aware communications that win hearts and minds and link change to outcomes through design, creativity, and storytelling.
Mentoring and coaching: Mentor and coach teams and individuals to build internal expertise and community capability.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Deep Organisational Change expertise: Significant experience (typically 5+ years) delivering successful, complex change initiatives end-to-end in global/matrix environments.
Methodology agility and autonomy: Demonstrable ability to design your own approach and tailor change frameworks to context, including selecting the right levers for adoption and sustainment.
Senior collaborator mastery: Strong track record influencing and managing VP/C-suite-level collaborators, including sponsor coaching and facilitation of leadership alignment.
Excellent English: Outstanding written and verbal English skills, with the ability to produce executive-ready narratives, communications, and presentations.
Strategy-to-execution strength: Ability to set change strategy, translate it into actionable plans, and lead execution across multiple workstreams and teams.
Facilitation and consulting: Highly skilled in facilitation, discovery, workshop design, and advisory/consulting engagement models.
Data-driven measurement: Experience defining and using adoption and change metrics to guide decisions and adjust interventions.
Communication and storytelling: Demonstrable ability to translate technical information into clear business language aligned to AZ priorities and outcomes.
Operating in ambiguity: Comfortable growing in uncertainty, iterating based on feedback, and bringing structure without over-bureaucratising.
Global outlook: Strong cultural awareness and experience adapting approaches for different regions, working styles, and time zones.
AI and innovation perspective: Basic understanding of AI concepts, with the ability to identify and leverage opportunities where AI can enhance user experience, improve processes, and increase team effectiveness.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Formal change certification: Prosci (ADKAR) and/or CCMP (ACMP) certification preferred; other recognised change qualifications welcomed.
Project/program delivery alignment: Strong delivery experience partnering with programme/project managers, product teams, and external partners to integrate change into delivery plans.
Global organisation experience: Experience working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context.
Pharmaceutical/IT exposure: Pharmaceutical IT experience.
Agile/Lean ways of working: Experience applying change in Agile, product-led, or Lean environments (including experimentation and iterative landing of change).
