IT Senior Business Analyst

In this role, you will be a central connector between diverse partners and technical groups, crafting the requirements that drive high-impact solutions across our global enterprise. You will help set analysis approaches, ensure traceability from ideas to benefits, and influence decisions that modernize how we operate. Accountabilities:
Analysis Strategy and Planning: Define the right analysis approach for each initiative, balancing complexity, risk, and dependencies. Scope work optimally and lead your plan to deliver to deadlines without losing sight of value.
Stakeholder Engagement and Influence: Identify and engage collaborators at all levels. Build trust-based relationships, tailor communication to influence outcomes, and chip in to plans that drive informed decisions and adoption.
Requirements Leadership: Lead end-to-end requirements management from discovery to validation. Translate business objectives into clear functional and technical requirements, ensuring robust traceability and alignment with Functional Build, User Interface Compose, and Business Process Develop.
Architecture Partnership: Work closely with architecture and engineering teams to assure that the proposed technical solution delivers the agreed business benefits, adheres to standards, and scales for future needs.
Solution Assessment and Value Focus: Evaluate solution options, challenge assumptions, and articulate the reasoning behind recommendations. Assess business readiness and guide teams to improve value versus spend.
Business Case and Benefits Realization: Support the creation of cases, collecting justification including return on investment and benefits measures. Track value realization through delivery and into operation.
Apply AI-assisted techniques to speed up discovery and documentation. Use LLMs to coordinate and prioritize ambiguous inputs and identify business rules from interviews. Improve the consistency and completeness of documentation related to requirements.
Change and Communications: Chip in to change plans and communication strategies to ensure alignment, understanding, and adoption across functions and geographies.
Governance and Compliance: Operate effectively within regulated environments, ensuring requirements and testing practices meet compliance needs and stand up to audit.
Collaboration and Coaching: Partner with IT leaders, service managers, and multi-functional project teams. Share standard processes and support team development to improve on analysis quality.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience of using business analysis tools/techniques to design and deliver business change
- Strong engagement, communication and facilitation skills, including presentation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated involvement in a regulated environment
- Background in collaborating with third party suppliers/vendor
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Degree in a relevant subject area or formal certification in business analysis practice
- Exposure to Agile methodology and familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
- Experience of working in a global organisation
- Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge
- Excellent documentation skills and proficiency with MS Visio
- Hands-on experience producing Business Requirements Documents (BRD or equivalent experience), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM), and handling product backlogs
- Experience collaborating with external consultants and vendors, with strong written and oral communication
- Background working with pharma clients and understanding of regulated processes
- Experience employing LLMs and AI assistants to analyze interview transcripts, extract business rules, and translate findings into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Applied AI-enhanced requirements engineering and prompt engineering to accelerate documentation and improve quality and consistency of requirement artifacts
