The BioPharma R&D Publications Operations team within AstraZeneca (AZ) is seeking a creative Associate Director, Publications Training & Compliance to lead the delivery of compliance topics with an enterprise focus to internal customers, stakeholders and external partners in an innovative and compelling manner across R&D, Operations, Medical and Local Markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Working in close collaboration with the Global Publications Strategy and Operations Director and the Publications Leadership Team, the Associate Director, Publications Training & Compliance responsibilities will be to:
Develop and implement the publications training and engagement strategy to ensure adherence to AZ Publication Standard and Publication Sign-Off Standard Operating Procedure, translating business requirements into solutions.
Partner with expert groups such as L&D to ensure there is fit for purpose training available to all users tailored to their role in the process.
Coordinate, plan and deliver live training as required to all users including external agency on both publications policy, procedures and systems, including specific 1:1 senior leader reviewer training.
Support with the update and review of AZ policies and procedures to ensure standards remain aligned to external best practice and evolving trends and innovations.
Partners with Data Analyst to create measures that aligns training with business priorities.
Partner with relevant teams and leadership council to ensure gaps in compliance as found through regular records audit and training data audit are actioned with an appropriate training or communication response.
Lead the creation and implementation of the publications communication plan to disseminate key messages throughout the year, ensuring changes to publications process and procedure and critical time lines are clearly communicated
Conduct regular and ad-hoc campaigns on various topics, including the rollout of new or updated policies and tools and support and facilitate the Publication Sign Off Champion network.
Drive engagement activities, using face-to-face opportunities with scientists through on-site drop-in sessions, marketplace opportunities (e.g., science symposium), and speaker opportunities such as lunch & learn, and town halls/department meetings.
Lead the design, implementation, and upkeep of a publications contents and training on different AZ platforms in partnership with the Learning & Development teams
Raise business awareness of external landscape, new trends, or risks to ensure compliance.
Enhance the visibility of the publications team and promote their capabilities to foster strong relationships with key internal collaborators and external partners.
Collaborate closely with other publication teams across AZ to centralize content and ensure widespread application across the enterprise for simplification and excellence.
Requirements:
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in digital tools including advanced presentation skills
Experience in concept/content creation and delivery
Creative thinker with the ability to think outside the box
Strong project management skills with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing deadlines and priorities
Ability to collaborate with multiple business partners in a fast-paced environment
