Franchise Lead Hematology

What you’ll do

You will lead the Franchise plan & strategic priorities, including appropriate resource planning and assignment of responsibilities within team, ensuring strong collaboration across the cross-functional team, alignment to brand strategies and tactical plans and delivery of results. Through robust planning, analysis and strategic development you will ensure successful launch of new products. You will coach, lead and develop team of Brand Manager, Field Force Managers, and – as second line manager – Key Account Managers, and facilitate strong engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Leads all aspects of commercial activities for the Franchise, including marketing strategy/execution and field team/promotion, empowering cross-functional collaboration, strong patient-centric approach, and omnichannel initiatives;
  • Develops local Franchise strategy (based on Global strategy) and localized Brand plans including launch plan development & management of launch plan/performance reviews; ensures strategic integration of expanding portfolio and synergies across portfolio;
  • Develops local forecast with solid understanding of P&L, assumptions, insights/trends and solid resource and budget management to deliver on P&L;
  • Drives and executes implementation of the brand plan activities & brand KPIs through close collaboration with cross functional partners;
  • Coordinates team’s liaison with relevant hospital institutional stakeholders to support the completion of relevant medical and administrative documentation which ensures patients’ timely access to treatment as confirmed by the relevant healthcare professionals;
  • Uses strong critical thinking to assess variables including market trends and opportunities, competition, research progress, etc., to craft strong near- and long-term commercial strategies, including successful launch / go-to market strategies aligned to the strategic direction;
  • Develops relevant communication & campaign material, manages external agencies and ensures sign-off;
  • Leads and develops the field and marketing teams including but not limited to performance development, talent management and career development;
  • Planning, monitoring and reporting team activities accurately and in time, in line with AZ standards, so that relevant KPIs are attained at individual and at team level;
  • Encourages cross-functional and co-promotional alignment of the sales organization with internal and co-promotion teams to build a focused, results-oriented and collaborative business;
  • Engages proactively above market with global/regional team and other markets to facilitate best practice learnings and ensure quality deliverables;
  • Ensures continuous focus on excellence and innovation together with the IBEX function;
  • Develops and manage relationships with KEEs in collaboration with Medical and senior management;
  • Working with government affairs partners, ensures policy shaping activities and market access to support growth of portfolio;
  • Accurate budget management for assigned brands and projects;

Your profile

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in haematology, oncology, immunology or other specialty care areas
  • University degree ideally with a strong scientific acumen
  • In-depth understanding of market dynamics, trends and insights to inform solid P&L assumptions. Solid understanding of forecasting levers to ensure strategies and tactics align to those levers
  • Good understanding of local healthcare systems including pricing and reimbursement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams
  • Proven track record of linking science to building patient-centric and sustainable therapeutic solutions
  • Solid commercial leadership capabilities including pre-launch and launch activities targeting a significant increase in market share
  • Solid understanding of budget management and resourcing planning to ensure effective operational delivery of KPIs against targeted levels
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Very good analytical, planning and organising abilities
  • Curiousness and learning agility;
  • Very good computer literacy including commercial digital tools
  • Advanced English
