Global Omnichannel HCP Engagement Director — Weight Management

Within BBU CVRM, we have established a new Commercial unit focusing on Weight Management and T2D. Our ambition is to deliver a portfolio of simple, scalable, and sustainable solutions that improve health and wellbeing, reduce cardiometabolic risk and protect organs for people living with diabetes, overweight, and/or obesity.
To support this ambition, we are seeking an experienced commercial talent to lead the global HCP omnichannel strategy and execution for the Weight Management Franchise within CVRM, accelerating market development and launch readiness across obesity and weight-related cardiometabolic conditions.
The role reports to the Global Commercial VP Weight Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio-level HCP engagement Strategy: Partner with Commercial Excellence to develop a cross-portfolio HCP segmentation and engagement model
- Omnichannel Strategy & Journeys: Architect end-to-end HCP journeys integrating digital and in-person touchpoints, deliver global core materials and playbooks, and enable scalable, compliant activation by Regions and Markets.
- Launch Readiness: Guide Regions/Markets launch readiness on integrated omnichannel plans, cadence, sequencing, and content personalization; act as first-line support for digital execution.
- Congress & External Engagements: Partner with Medical Affairs to strategize and execute early HCP engagements through global congresses, disease activation, and other communications channels
- Technology & Innovation: Be the brand team’s expert advisor on new technologies supporting HCP engagement, and new capabilities and processes required to embed them in the organization
Qualifications/Industry/Functional Experience
Required:
- BA/BS Degree
- 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/ biotech experience with global or regional HCP segment, GTM strategy, and digital and CVRM experience.
- Demonstrated MLR navigation and congress management experience
- Must have successfully launched brands at a global level; launch experience in a large market preferred.
- Proven strong pre-launch and launch excellence knowledge and skill in Marketing
- Demonstrated success working in marketing teams to deliver effective commercial brand strategies, compelling business cases.
- Must have led Omnichannel strategy and execution and journey design and personalization, ideally at portfolio level.
- Demonstrated mindset: Data-driven, customer-centric, compliant, and outcomes-focused.
- Ability to work both tactically and strategically in a fast-paced, global matrix.
- Deep understanding of customer journey mapping, customer insight, and a proven track record of successful customer experience strategies.
- Strong working knowledge of forecasting, market research, useful insight generation, and competitive landscape analysis and interpretation
- Strong knowledge of global promotional campaigns and new product launches
- Sound internal and external collaborator/partner engagement skills with demonstrated ability to seamlessly navigate scientific and commercial organizations to drive favorable business outcomes
- Ability to influence laterally and vertically in a matrix organization
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication/presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to successfully manage vendor/agency partnerships.
- Demonstrated mindset of scientific curiosity, empathy, collaborative, innovative, problem-solver, champion for patients
Desirable Skills:
- An advanced degree (MBA, MSc or PhD)
- Experience in digital advertising agency a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies supporting HCP engagement is also a plus.
Travel:
- International travel ~10-20%
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $229,303 to $343,955. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
