We are hiring for a Senior Medical Director, Global Clinical Program Lead for Multiple Sclerosis in Immunology Cell Therapy to be based in Boston Seaport. This person will craft and deliver our Immunology Cell Therapy pipeline and lead innovative clinical-stage cell therapy programs.
Accountabilities:
As a Senior Medical Director for Multiple Sclerosis, you will provide medical and scientific input to T-cell therapy clinical stage assets in multiple sclerosis and neurology. You will take responsibility for clinical development in cross-functional teams to support early to late-phase clinical development activities. These include the creation of overall clinical development plans and clinical study design, writing study concepts and protocols, key study and health authority documentation, medical monitoring and ensuring timely delivery of studies.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Medical Doctor or MD-PhD degree required with a neurology specialization.
- 5 or more years of industry or combined academic/industry experience in clinical development.
- Significant experience in early and/or late phase clinical development.
- Closely follow medical developments within assigned areas, including cell therapy for autoimmune/inflammatory diseases, and disseminate new information within Clinical Development and wider organization, to transform trends and emerging data into agile clinical plans
- Work closely and collaborate across early and late clinical development, partner functions and wider AZ organization to ensure design and delivery of clinical development plans with high quality and speed
- Significant experience in the authoring of relevant regulatory documents.
- Detailed understanding of the full drug development process.
- Global external awareness within the therapeutic area and global regulatory environment
- Detailed understanding of clinical research methodology and biostatistics principles.
- Thorough command of FDA, EMA, MHRA and ICH GCP guidelines.
- Attention to detail, strive to generate high-quality work, and sense of passion and urgency to achieve team and program goals.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects.
- Demonstrated track record in delivering results.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and strategic planning skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience in clinical development of T-cell therapy is desired.
- Experience in immune-mediated diseases/clinical immunity is preferred.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $265,000 to $390,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
