Associate Marketing Director

This role reports directly to the Head of Marketing and will be expected to have a high level of collaboration with global cross functional groups (Patient & Business Insight, Medical Affairs, R&D, Pricing & Market Access, Commercial Excellence, Customer Advocacy and Congresses, etc.), Regional teams and local Market Company (MC) teams. In this role, you will be accountable to drive the strategic plan, implement the operationalplanand provide launch preparation support to key launch countries. They must be a strong matrix leader and marketer, with specific responsibility for shaping and implementing brand strategy. Clear thinking with the ability to lead anddemonstratepassion for the brand isrequired.
Key Accountabilities
·Based upon insights and input from key focus markets and customer groups, contribute to an integrated and comprehensive GSP and campaign evolution liaising with Medical, Access, Commercial Excellence and other relevant functions for input building and alignment.
·Influence and drive the execution of strategy, operationalplanand new clinical data dissemination, along with continuous evaluation and evolution of the global brand strategy and tactics, making course corrections as needed
·Accountable for working with regions and key markets (including USA) to ensure consistent execution of the strategy, new data launch readiness / commercial excellence, performance analysis and understanding
·Work with external key disease experts and policy collaborators’ relationships in line with brand teamobjectives- represent the view of the customer and patient in global teams
·Contribute to the Cardiovascular Commercial Franchise team agenda, be an engaged teammate and supportive colleague
·Self-starter, able to work independently. High personal drive to findnew solutionsand challenge the broaderorganisationto deliver
·Align with AZ policies,standardsand procedures in every interaction
Minimum Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business,marketingor sciences
· 6+ years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience; preferably in a related industry
·Previous Pharmaceutical Marketing and Promotions experience
·Experience ofworking in specialty brands and experience in CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolism), Acute Care or Coagulation.
·Broad commercial experience including launch
·Proven experience and knowledge of a broad base of external customers including patients, prescribers,payersand providers
·Ability to think and act strategically to design and implementan optimalomnichannel customer engagement approach
·Experience using clinical data to shape brand strategies and lifecycle planning
·Experience with revenue forecasting, budget/expense management, business casedevelopmentand management/ communication of brand performance. Evidence of developing compelling business cases
·Experience working with medical and clinical professionals
·A track recordof developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics that have delivered strong commercial results
·Confirmed leadership skills and the ability to collaborate in a matrix environment
·Deep knowledge on market shaping solutions using innovative & disruptive models
Preferred Qualifications
·MBA or equivalent
·Exposure to andtrack recordof effective management of decision-making bodies (such as experience working with a GBT (Global Brand Team) either at Global or Market Company level
·Specialty care experience is preferred

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $180,000- $271,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
