Associate Director, US HCP Peer-to-Peer Marketing, GMG & NMOSD, Rare Neurology

This is what you will do: 

The Associate Director, US HCP Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Marketing, gMG & NMOSD, Rare Neurology, is a member of the commercial U.S. Rare Neurology business unit and reports to the Sr. Director of HCP Marketing. This position is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of best-in-class HCP peer-to-peer education experiences across both the generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) indications. This role serves as the enterprise P2P lead across two highly competitive rare neurology markets, partnering closely with the gMG and NMOSD brand marketing teams, Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) team, Field Sales, and Medical Affairs to educate, engage, and enable HCPs to appropriately identify, diagnose, and treat patients with Alexion's rare neurology portfolio. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • P2P Strategy & Execution: Leading the development and execution of the annual and long-range peer-to-peer marketing strategy, tactics, and budget across both gMG and NMOSD indications, ensuring alignment with each brand's strategic imperatives and HCP educational needs. 
  • Speaker Bureau Management: Coordinating end-to-end management of the National Speaker Bureaus for gMG and NMOSD, including speaker nomination, training, content development, program deployment, utilization optimization, and compliance oversight in close partnership with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance. 
  • P2P Content Development: Leading the development and Promotional Review Committee (PRC) approval of impactful peer-to-peer educational content and tactics, including live speaker programs, peer-to-peer broadcasts, webinars, digital P2P experiences, and related HCP communications. 
  • Congress & Meeting Activation: Partnering with the brand teams, TLL team, and Congress Management to plan and execute peer-exchange forums at national and regional neurology congresses, including product theaters, exhibits, symposia, and advisory boards. 
  • Advisory Board Strategy & Execution: Leading the planning and execution of advisory boards across gMG and NMOD to generate actionable insights, including defining objectives, developing discussion guides, identifying and engaging participants in partnership with Medical and TLLs, and translating insights into brand strategies. 
  • Cross-Brand Integration: Partnering with the gMG and NMOSD HCP Marketing Leads to ensure P2P initiatives are insight-driven, brand-aligned, and deliver an integrated HCP education experience across the rare neurology portfolio. 
  • KOL & Field Engagement: Collaborating with the Thought Leader Liaison team to identify and cultivate speakers, capture field and KOL insights, and translate those insights into meaningful P2P programming and content evolution. 
  • Project & Budget Management: Coordinate P2P program timelines, agency partners, vendor logistics, and budgets across both indications to maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Performance Measurement: Partnering with Commercial Insights & Analytics to define KPIs, monitor program performance, evaluate impact on HCP behavior, and continuously optimize P2P investments across the portfolio. 
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with Field Sales, Training, OneSource, Promotional Review Committee, Medical, Regulatory, Clinical, Legal, Compliance, and Market Access to ensure compliant, high-quality execution. 
  • Communications & Presentations: Driving presentation content and marketing communications via written and oral presentations to commercial and medical leadership, Rare Neurology leadership, and Commercial Sales meetings. 

You will need to have:

  • 3-5+ years of professional pharmaceutical / biotech experience in competitive market landscape(s) 
  • Direct experience leading peer-to-peer marketing, speaker bureau management, and/or HCP education initiatives 
  • Strong HCP marketing experience, including experience navigating Promotional Review Committee (PRC/MLR) processes 
  • Understanding of compliance guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry (OIG, PhRMA Code) as they relate to speaker programs and HCP engagement 
  • Rare disease / Specialty / high-value biologics experience 
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high priorities, agencies, and vendors simultaneously 
  • Strong ability to learn and display scientific and business acumen 
  • High level of interpersonal and collaboration skills in both 1:1 and team environments, including the ability to influence without authority in a highly matrixed organization 
  • Verbal, written, and live presentation communication skills 
  • Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and fast paced environment 
  • Bachelor's Degree is required 
  • Minimum 3 days in office 
  • Ability to travel 25%+ of time, including overnight travel to speaker programs, congresses, and internal meetings 
  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. We would prefer for you to have:

  • Advanced Degree or an MBA 
  • Neurology, rare disease, or specialty/high-value biologics marketing experience 
  • US commercial launch experience 
  • Diverse commercial experience (i.e., field sales, operations, TLL) 
  • Experience with promotional platforms such as Veeva PromoMats 
  • Analytical skills to inform investment decisions and metrics-based optimization of HCP education programs 

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $ 151,081.60 - 226,622.40 USD. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program.
