Introduction to role

Are you ready to lead a team in the dynamic world of transgenic manufacturing? As the Egg White Harvest Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring product supply for our patients by providing operational leadership and support.

Reporting to the Site Lead, you'll manage a team of technicians, develop training plans, and maintain inspection-ready operations. Your expertise will be crucial during regulatory inspections, and you'll collaborate with internal partners like Quality Assurance and Maintenance, as well as communicate with external agencies.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental objectives and schedules, aligning with site metrics and company goals.

  • Manage and develop EWH production staff at the Bogart, Georgia facility.

  • Oversee product shipping, coordinating with USDA and internal partners.

  • Ensure effective Egg White Harvest management according to procedures and good practices.

  • Lead deviation, change control, and process improvements, implementing corrective actions.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert during regulatory inspections.

  • Foster effective interactions with other departments and customer representatives.

  • Recruit and develop staff for effective succession planning.

  • Manage departmental budget for cost control while maintaining effectiveness.

  • Promote collaborative work within facilities and across functions.

  • Report product quality or employee concerns to Management immediately.

  • Support Management with production planning, outcomes, and troubleshooting.

  • Communicate strategic plans affecting production at each facility.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Business, or other related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong quality mindset and willingness to take ownership of challenges.

  • Self-starter that can carry out tasks with minimal oversight.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including GMP.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and concisely with subordinates, peers, and management.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience in Quality Assurance is preferred
