The Senior Manager - GBS Controls and Compliance is a global role responsible for setting up and maintaining SOX and High Risk Finance Control for all in scope Processes in line with AZ enterprise Finance Controls Framework. This role will support various GBS teams located in various geographies providing finance controls and compliance guidance and helping them create robust process and controls to ensure finance controls are audit ready. in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices/standards and AZ Enterprise FCF Framework. This position will report to Director of Risk Controls and Business Continuity – GBS.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with AZ Enterprise Finance Controls Team and ensure AZ enterprise framework is well adapted by Finance Process and controls of Global Business Services.

  • Provide inputs and guidance to GBS HR Services – Payroll Operations Team executing Finance controls to maintain their Finance control posture inline with AZ enterprise FCF Framework.

  • Develop Strategy and Framework to setup a new Service in Global Business Services which will support Compliance guidance and consultation of Financial Controls as First line of Defense. Develop a roadmap and plan to expand this new service line to all possible SET areas and enabling functions.

  • Engage with Leadership Team of GBS Operations team to provide them the compliance posture of their business of Finance Control Framework.

  • Lead Subject Matter expertise in SOX, Fraud, Finance, and other Business Controls Management

  • Engage and collaborate with internal & external stakeholders, and senior management in all lines of business in setting up, reviewing, identifying gaps in the current controls environment.

  • Perform FMEA, RSCA, incident based risk, assessment and proactive risk assessments as per the requirement

  • Help business identify Root Cause Analysis for any incident, identify control gaps, provide recommendation and drive improvement to closure.

  • Participate in enterprise-wide SOX and Finance control testing program, work with process owners, control owners and enterprise testing team for timely completion of testing, escalation management and reporting to business.

  • Work with Business teams to setup their risk register, identify root cause, define mitigation plan, drive it to closure, and report the status in a timely fashion.

  • Engage and collaborate with various site leadership team to identify, record and assess local site level risks which may impact Global Business services including Human Resource, Physical Security, Administration and Facilities, Transportation, infrastructure and local policies etc and keep a track of their mitigation plan.

  • Manage and own the Global risk register, mitigation plan, metrics and reporting.

  • Engage with enterprise business continuity team and lines of business risk teams to assess, manage and remediate cross functional risks.

  • Experience in project management concepts


Essentials:

  • Overall, 10-15 years of experience in payroll operations and in which minimum of 4 years of experience in Risk and Controls Management, SOX and Financial Controls Testing

  • Analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent Compliance and governance understanding

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong customer focus and attention to detail

  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information in business language

  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across various leadership levels of the organization

  • Working in a matrix organizational structure is required
