Sr. Marketing Manager, Nephrology
This is what you will do:
The Marketing Lead Nephrology will be supporting the Business Unit Lead for Complement by developing, executing and following on all local Marketing activities in order to expand and accelerate market penetration of Ultomiris in aHUS (atypic Hemolitic Uremic Syndrome). The incumbent will represent the country in all International/Global Nephrology Marketing initiatives.
You will be responsible for:
Global Marketing Responsibilities
- Expert for the local situation and member of the Global Brand Team
- Contribute and provide support to the Business Unit Lead in the development of the long term strategic disease plan
- Develop and implement brand orientation, strategy and launch plans accordingly to Global guidance
- Best practices sharing bringing local market insights to the team and gathering other countries insights
- Support the Business Unit Lead in the implementation of Global marketing strategies and tactics within local market
- Represent the voice of the Spanish region and partner with the Global team in the development of collaterals, e.g. product sell sheets, sales training materials, physician training materials, video production, etc.
Local Marketing Responsibilities
- Develop the local long-range and annual disease plans
- Execute the annual marketing plans with strinct follow up of the marketing budget
- Lead the disease cross-functional Brand Team in alignment with the Business Unit Lead
- Participate in the short and long range sales forecast
- Gather insights and share local market and competitive insights
- Provide input and direction to market research while guiding application of insights from customer research studies
- Develop and communicate appropriate key selling product messages, promotional materials and disease narratives
- Support field teams execution of promotional events
- Manage advertising and other support agencies in implementing global communication tools and in developing local marketing materials, including promotional materials for the field team.
- Develop a digital plan in coordination with the digital lead
- Proactively collaborates with cross functional colleagues in sales, market access, medical and other departments to better understand and address the needs of our key stakeholders
- Participate in local advisory board meetings
- Manage and develop positive relationships with new and existing Key Opinion Leaders and Medical Societies
- Establish and maintain quality and trustful contacts within the relevant medical community, with opinion leaders, influencers and deciders, in compliance with local requirements: have frequent contact with field team, HCP and KOLs
- Participate in the development of sales training for field force; maintain active communication with the field to better understand needs, issues, and opportunities
- Lead cycle meetings with the field teams in alignment with the Business Unit Lead and the cross-functional team
- Maintain regular communication with field sales and sales management to better understand current market conditions and needs of the sales teams
You will need to have:
- Solid marketing experience acquired in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Experience in competitive markets, being biosimilars experience an advantage
- Rare disease experience an advantage
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams. Team player
- Customer focus mindset
- Strong scientific orientation and background
- Experience working with international teams is a plus
- Prior sales experience preferred
- Fluent in local language and English, both written and spoken

We would prefer for you to have:
- University degree (BSc/BA) – preferably in scientific or business-related field
- Secondary/advanced scientific degree (e.g., MSc, MA, MBA,PharmD, PhD, MD)
- Min. 5 years of experience in a sales and/or marketing role
