Global Pricing Reimbursement Implementation and Analytics Lead, Hematology & Nephrology
Location: Barcelona - Spain (3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home)

Alexion Astrazeneca’s Rare Disease Global Value Access and Pricing (GVAP) team is seeking a qualified individual to be part of a dynamic and growing team with responsibility for pricing implementation.
The purpose of this role is to enhance the competitive advantage and performance of Alexion AstraZeneca's Rare Disease brands by optimizing pricing strategies and supporting reimbursement decisions at both local and global levels. This position will offer pricing and reimbursement implementation support for the Hematology, Nephrology & Transplant (HNT) Therapeutic Area. Additionally, it leads above-brand pricing governance, analytics and management reporting.
The Global Pricing Reimbursement Implementation and Analytics Lead will work in close collaboration with the GVAP Complement team and Head of GVAP.
You will be responsible for:
Pricing policy and governance
Lead and coordinate update of rare diseases pricing governance and processes
Ensure adherence to the established pricing policy and governance processes to effectively implement pricing strategies. Monitor compliance with pricing frameworks and maintain a robust internal control environment over processes and data.
Engage with markets pro-actively to support the optimal implementation of pricing policies and provide support in local pricing capability development
Provide country specific input to Global pricing policies for new product launches within HNT
Support internal audits process
Pricing analysis & reporting
Responsible for quarterly reporting of pricing performance monitoring (incl business cases) statistics for senior management
Manage the operational pricing and reimbursement implementation for HNT
Perform ad-hoc analysis to evaluate the pricing implications of external events
Liaise with Finance team to reconcile the actual realized prices in finance system versus the approved prices in PRICE
Provide forward looking analysis and insights into the future of price assumptions for HNT products through gross price modelling analysis.
Lead and support execution of pricing strategies in collaboration with GVAP Complement team and country teams
Support the development of launch sequence, target prices and negotiation strategies to optimize pricing and reimbursement conditions in the local markets and across the region for HNT products
Monitor realized impact of the endorsed pricing actions to modify future decision making
Pricing business cases for HNT
Review and challenge business cases submitted by markets. Perform cross-country impact analysis of proposed price changes and manage risk by identifying mitigating strategies
Support local access leads in addressing pricing negotiation challenges
Prepare recommendations on pricing business cases. Pre-empt analysis on major business cases (pan-regional or across portfolio). Assess risk and opportunities of future developments in the Pricing and Market Access environment
You will need to have:
Relevant Graduate degree eg. PharmD, biomedical science, business, or economics.
Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry in business related roles
5-10 years of pricing and reimbursement experience
Understanding of pricing, legal, regulatory and reimbursement issues across key markets and their impact
Ability to handle complex problem solving (involving many decision-makers and multiple, creative solutions) including impact of environment regulation changes on pricing policy
Ability to communicate complex access and pricing challenges simply and clearly across business stakeholders

Experience in a pricing / market access function locally or regionally
Understanding of pricing and reimbursement processes in major markets
Strong analytical skills
