DHEI Portfolio Lead

The Digital Health and Experience Innovation (DHEI) team drives AstraZenaca’s Rare Disease Business Unit (RDU)’s ability to ideate, incubate, and scale new “beyond the molecule” capabilities and solutions.  DHEI seek a qualified and experienced Portfolio Lead to strengthen the team.  The Portfolio Lead will be responsible for operations of the DHEI team’s initiatives, increasing the likelihood of success of the DHEI opportunities, providing a framework and structured ways of working, supplies DHEI-relevant tools for testing and learning.  They will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the DHEI processes, from ideation to implementation, measuring and analyzing the value created by the team. 

The Portfolio Lead will also monitor and evaluate the innovation performance, impact, and outcomes, and provide regular reports and feedback to the stakeholders.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment of project objectives and deliverables with the organization's strategic goals and vision
  • Help to coordinate innovation workshops, events, and training sessions on time, on budget, and on scope
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, and escalate them as needed
  • Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes within the DHEI team
  • Track and measure DHEI  performance, impact, and outcomes, using appropriate metrics and indicators, and prepare and present the reports and dashboards.
  • Support in developing and implementing DHEI processes, policies, and best practices
  • Maintain and update DHEI tools, platforms, and databases
  • Plan events that engage the broader RDU organization building the DHEI Community of Practice
  • Manage overall project spending and reporting.
  • Closely work with project managers/IT leaders to fully master project health and execution details, strategize, craft and implement organization-wide project/portfolio communication plan.
  • Work with DHEI, IT, and business leaders to ensure information is presented accurately and effectively.
  • Manage project communications to the IT leadership team using adequate communication channels
  • Facilitate and lead DHEI annual budget activities.
  • Support project execution & delivery where needed.
  • Identify and help to communicate the best practices, lessons learned, and success stories of the innovation initiatives, and promote a culture of innovation across the company
  • Coordinate DHEI team meetings and processes and prepare the team for formal reviews

Essential Qualifications

  • Identifies as a intellectually curious, growth-oriented, organized individual who thrives in environments with high ambiguity and constant change
  • Highly creative, analytical, and problem-solving oriented, with a genuine desire to move fast and organize things
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a globally diverse team and stakeholder set
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated skills in portfolio management, such as planning and budgeting
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with 3 years’ experience in portfolio management
  • Associates degree with at least 6 years of experience in portfolio management will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certifications
  • Experience with various innovation methodologies and tools
