Diagnostics Liaison Specialist
Introduction to role
Join us as a Diagnostics Liaison Specialist in our Oncology Business Unit, where you will have the opportunity to make an impact in the brand strategy and contribute to our bold ambition of eliminating cancer as a cause of death. In this field position, you will leverage your experience in the diagnostic market and clinical test market to ensure timely, high-quality in-market companion diagnostics/testing solutions. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional field teams, understanding clinical operational issues on the testing pathway and developing tailored testing solutions as needed.
Accountabilities
As a Diagnostics Liaison Specialist, you will engage geneticists, pathologists, and lab staff to raise awareness about the need for biomarker testing and predictive response to AZ Onco brands. You will influence and advise on appropriate use and technology for testing, share diagnostic quality data with laboratory staff, and encourage multi-disciplinary diagnostic quality assurance programs at institutions. You will also identify stakeholder needs, understand the current and emerging diagnostic testing environment, and develop relationships with scientific experts.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Master Degree in science field
- Experience in immunohistochemistry, genomic testing and digital & computational pathology

- Proven experience with a broad base of external stakeholders including prescribers, payers, providers

Desirable Skills/Experience
- 3+ years of experience in molecular diagnostic market and clinical testing market (field position)
- PhD in science field
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales and marketing
- Knowledge of legislation and regulatory environment relevant to diagnostic sales and marketing
- Experience of broad range of oncology diagnostic, pathology, and therapeutic marketing
