In this role, you will build access and adoption for recently introduced and essential medicines. You will make sure the right evidence and education reach the right customers at the right time. Your work will accelerate diagnosis, improve treatment pathways and help deliver better outcomes for patients.

As a Territory Business Manager, you will be responsible for the performance of your territory, partnering with hospitals, clinics and healthcare professionals to remove barriers and drive sustained growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues to align local execution with national strategy, using insights to influence decisions and create measurable value. Can you spot opportunities others miss and mobilize stakeholders to act?

Accountabilities:

Territory Strategy Execution: Translate brand strategy into a focused approach that delivers adoption, access and revenue growth across priority accounts.

Performance Management: Monitor territory performance weekly, diagnose gaps and deploy targeted interventions to keep results on track with objectives.

Access and Enlistment: Assist in the integration of priority medicines along with those recently brought to market into hospitals and clinics, navigating local processes to secure timely access.

Market and Competitor Insight: Conduct structured review of market dynamics, referral flows and competitor activity to identify and prioritize territory opportunities.

Customer Engagement and Promotion: Lead impactful, compliant promotional activities that build awareness, educate on clinical value and shift clinical practice where appropriate.

Data Rigor and CRM: Maintain accurate customer classifications, databases, and communication logs to inform planning, measure impact and enable agile adjustments.

Credibility and Compliance: Build trust by demonstrating professionalism, scientific fluency and consistent adherence to the AZ Code of Conduct in every interaction.

Growth and Development: Proactively explore possibilities for advancing skills and partner with your first line sales manager to build capabilities that elevate territory impact.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Effectively implement sales strategy and tactics, plan of action (POA) in accordance with company policies.

  • Regularly monitor territory’s sales performance to initiate appropriate actions to ensure performance is in line with objectives.

  • Facilitate enlistment of newly launched and key products in hospitals and clinics.

  • Conduct analysis of market/competitors to identify territory business opportunities.

  • Participate in promotional activity programs to increase product awareness in the market.

  • Update territory customer classification, database and call records continuously.

  • Build trust and credibility with customers by demonstrating integrity while acting within the AZ Code of Conduct.

  • Identify areas for self-development and discuss developmental needs with FLSM.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical field sales with a track record of growing priority products in hospitals and clinics.

  • Success securing formulary listings, protocols or access pathways for newly launched therapies.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with established relationships across target accounts and referral networks.

  • Proficiency with CRM and analytics tools; ability to translate insights into territory action plans.

  • Proven impact in product launches and lifecycle management.

  • Effective cross-functional collaboration with medical, access and marketing teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business or a related field.
