Introduction to role
Are you passionate about programming and clinical trials? As a Clinical Programmer I, you will support programming and validation activities for data cleaning and review listings in ongoing clinical studies. Working under the guidance of an experienced programmer, you will handle tasks of low to medium scope and complexity, contributing to the success of our clinical study teams.
Accountabilities
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the design, development, implementation, and validation of programs created in SAS/Python/R or dashboard applications to process, analyze, and report clinical trial data for review by clinical study teams.
Work within established frameworks to ensure high quality in deliverables.
Under guidance, create a catalogue of reports to aid data cleaning activities with low to medium complexity, including:
Automating manual checks.
Automating reconciliation and programming edit checks for TPV data to ensure quality.
Creating tools and repositories to minimize data errors at the source for lab reference ranges collection.
Programming reports to identify missing pages and detect errors at the subject level.
Creating reports to measure metrics that help assess data cleaning status.
Creating visualizations and dashboards to identify discrepancies and trends in EDC and TPV data.
Maintain the created catalogue of reports and perform updates based on ongoing changes to requirements.
Provide support to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users.
Complete documentation associated with programming tasks (e.g., peer review, report specifications) in compliance with applicable SOPs.
Proactively update lead programmers on the progress of deliveries.
Support the implementation of cross-functional projects that are part of the clinical programming roadmap.
Essential Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, life science, or statistics
Good programming skills with prior experience in SAS/Python/SQL
Basic knowledge of Dashboards development
Basic knowledge of clinical development process
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a global team environment
Good analytical skills and high attention to detail
Desirable Skills/Experience
Knowledge of industry standards
Prior experience in Python/R/SQL/MicroStrategy or dashboard applications
Basic knowledge of data capture, data models, data mining
