Accountabilities
As a Clinical Information Science Associate Director within the Oncology Information Practice (IP), you will collaborate with OBM drug project team leaders, members, multi-functional teams, and our IT department. You will lead IP technical deliverables to enhance our ways of working. Dive into ongoing technical projects aimed at streamlining access to data sources for faster decision-making. Collaborate across the organization to drive impactful projects leveraging data analytics and information science. Mentor junior resources and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the IP team. Support internal decision-making and regulatory submissions for drug projects within Oncology R&D.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Solid skills in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and modelling.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and other similar platforms to create intuitive and informative visualizations for stakeholders.
- Understanding of ETL processes and tools to extract data from various sources, transform it into a usable format, and load it into a data warehouse or other data storage systems.
- Knowledge of database systems and querying languages (e.g., SQL) for efficient data retrieval and management.
- Proficiency in SharePoint for managing and organizing data, creating custom workflows in PowerApps, and developing solutions in Nintex forms and workflows to automate business process.
- Proficiency in front-end development and UX design, including but not limited to: D3.js, React, Angular.
- Experience working within the Agile methodology.
- Extensive knowledge around the activities required to release a tool into a production environment and supporting long-term maintenance.
- Evidence of leading and developing innovative solutions.
- A good understanding and knowledge of ontologies, taxonomies, knowledge-graphs and associated tools.
- Using techniques such as: text mining, data visualization, competitor intelligence, and benchmarking to extract key relevant information proactively enabling clinical drug design decision makers to make timely and objective decisions.
- Some experience in applying machine learning algorithms and building predictive models to solve business problems is good to have.
- Facilitate access to complex information for the drug project and ensure access to and (re)use of clinical information, documents and data.
- A good enterprise attitude of overall information needs in a scientific area or franchise, contributing to the TA Information Strategy.
- Drive future innovation and continuous improvement, contributing to TA value creation.
- Build strong alliances to leverage and promote optimized utilization of data, tools and information.
