About the role:
The Forecast Platform Specialist works closely with the GCS Forecasting CoE/ GIBEx/ GA&Iteams as well as the Platform vendor team in deploying the cloud-based forecasting platform. This involves integrating existing Excel based forecast models onto the platform and generating related automated visualizations on the Platform. This role also offers unique opportunity to collaborate, onboard and train forecasting team members to the Platform.This role requires in-depth understanding of the forecast inputs/ outputs / calculations, while maintaining the correct taxonomy and partnering with the Platform Admin to update the same as required (could also include getting the necessary approvals for taxonomy updates). This role includes a myriad of responsibilities, some of the key ones are highlighted below.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding new/ updated sections of/ entire forecast models on to the platform
Updating/ Creating new BI/ PowerPoint reports using Platform’s reporting solution
Setting up new OSS data pipelines
Own new taxonomy adds/ updates and partner with the GIBEx/ GA&I leads for approval of the same and with the Platform admin for execution of the updates
Own synonym list (together with the IP&C) and collaborate with the Platform admin for execution of the same
Conducting the UAT process for any version upgrades of the platform to validate platform functionalities
Provide training to new users, and offer solutions to implementation-related challenges to ensure smooth adoption
Provide feedback on the enhancements and optimizations of the features
Educational requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field – BPharm, B.E., BSc, BBA
Experience:
ExcellentExcel skills
In-depth understanding of basic forecasting principles and their application
Familiarity with different types of forecasting – patient based/ trending based/ patient-flow based etc.
Strong written and verbal communication
Experience working with other BI platforms/ strong Power Point skills and basic visualization skills
Preferred:
Advanced degree preferred (e.g., PhD, MBA, Masters)
Knowledge and experience in sophisticated statistical forecast methodologies and applied AI / ML / automation
Experience working with Power Apps, specifically PowerBI
Analytical and Problem-solving skills
