Partner with theSeniorVicePresidentof theEUCANRegion, theSenior Vice Presidentfor Oncology in EUCAN, and their respective leadership teams, todevelopand implement the regional communications strategy

Your responsibilities include:
COMMUNCATIONS STRATEGY
Develop and implementtheEUCANcommunications strategy,alignedwithregionalbusiness priorities and the Global Corporate Affairs strategy
Provide strategic communications counsel to senior leadership
RepresenttheEUCANRegionon the Global Corporate Communications Taskforce,shapingglobal strategies and approaches
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
Leadinternal communications for the region,partnering closely withsenior business leaderson purpose, strategy,change management andissues management
Delivermajor global and international milestones, including quarterly results updates, senior leader meetings, leadership country visits,campaignsand town halls
CORPORATEREPUTATION& THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
Assess and manageAZ’s reputationacross priority markets, partnering with research agencies,leveragingtracking toolstoproviding actionable insightsand recommendationstotheBBU and OBU EUCAN leadership teams
Elevate AstraZeneca’s voice as an industry leadertoshape the environmentfor our innovation,healthcaretransformationand sustainability priorities
BUILDING COMMUNICATIONS CAPABILITIES
Lead in continually ‘levelling up’ communications capabilities acrossEUCANmarkets,including ondigital communications and the useof AIand data,by setting clear standardsand expectations, developing frameworks/tools to support excellence, and creating an environment to support learning,developmentand best practice sharing
As part of theEUCANcorporate affairs leadership team, collaborate to improve the integrated capabilities, culture, productivity,efficiencyand impact/value of the wider Corporate Affairs team
Capabilities and behaviours
10+ years public relations and communications experience working in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications team
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills
Expertisein developing and delivering innovativeand impactfulcommunications strategies
Sound judgment combined with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Ability to manage conflicting priorities, stakeholder & colleague expectations
Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and flexibly, think ahead, engageproactivelyand take initiative
Strategic thinker looking outside to bringnew approachesto continually reinvigorateways of working, drive productivity and efficiencyand improve the effectivenessand impactof approaches
Track recordof developing high-performing teams
