Reports to: Operations Supervisor, Drug Product Operations
Location: Monksland, Athlone
Permanent Night Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, 22:45-07:00 Sunday to Friday
Introduction to role:
Are you ready to make a difference in the world of biopharmaceuticals? As a Drug Product Manufacturing Associate III at Alexion Athlone Manufacturing Facility, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring operational readiness and delivering batch operations with precision. This position offers the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in various unit operations throughout the Fill Finish manufacturing process. Working on a static night shift, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to producing life-changing medicines.
Accountabilities:
- Sterile Filling of vials / syringes using Isolator
- Aseptic Filling with Isolator Technology in Grade C background
- Complete Safety GENBA’s as per schedule, and raise safety events
- Maintain process equipment for operation through Cleaning and Sanitation
- Perform and document operations in accordance with cGMP’s
- Embrace 5S and lean culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain training compliance and train other staff
- Aseptic Filling with RABS in grade B background
- Compounding / Formulation of products
- Visual Inspection of finished product.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems during processing
- Perform Environmental monitoring as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping and clean and sanitise classified areas as required.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Able to work within and adapt to complex electronic systems such as SAP and Trackwise
- Able to read, write and converse in English
- Possess a proven understanding of MS Excel and Word
- Ability to work in an intense, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to function, with guidance, in a rapidly changing environment while balancing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven experience in a cGMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Provide in depth handover of task status
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- BA/BSc in a scientific subject area or equivalent experience preferred.
