ABOUT THE ROLE
Job Purpose:
As the Oncology Business Manager, you will lead the commercial execution of our Oncology and hematology portfolio by aligning cross-functional efforts across sales, marketing, diagnostics, and market access. You will be responsible for driving brand performance, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and embedding patient-centric strategies across key accounts. This role is critical to ensuring diagnostic excellence, launch readiness, and sustainable business growth in a competitive oncology landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of promotional speaker programs and manage speaker training and materials.
- Drive stakeholder engagement with Key External Experts (KEEs), HCPs, and payers.
- Manage brand budgets, vendor contracts, and ensure optimal ROI from commercial activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Diagnostics, Medical) for integrated brand execution.
- Ensure excellence in diagnostic testing implementation and market readiness for product launches.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and adapt plans to achieve brand targets.
- Develop and execute territory and account plans (TAPs) aligned with business goals.
- Embed patient-centric strategies to improve engagement and treatment outcomes.
- Identify new market opportunities and contribute to long-term brand planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Job Requirements:
Essential Criteria:
- Internal applicants with minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and Minimum 3 years successful selling experience in AstraZeneca
- Level of higher education required (Doctor, Dentist, Veterinary ,Pharmacist or Biologist), commercial or scientific training being a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical companies, preferably within multinational companies.
- Oncology/Urology experience is a huge asset.
- Experience in a Managerial position is a must.
- Proven track record of sales execution and cross-functional project leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management skills including engagement with KEEs and payers.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- High business acumen with ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Strong understanding of the oncology landscape and patient journey.
- Familiarity with diagnostic testing and companion diagnostics.
- Proficient in English Language.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required.
Preferred Criteria:
- Experience with Marketing / Market Access strategies and value-based healthcare solutions.
- Understanding of healthcare systems and payer structures in the country.
- Exposure to working within a matrix/multinational organization.
- Experience in developing account plans and patient journey mapping.
- Ability to drive innovation and foster new partnerships.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory approval processes for promotional activities.
- Strong analytical skills to translate insights into actionable plans.
