- The VP of Business Development has overall accountability for new relationships of commercial sales for Evinova with a global remit from strategy development, to the full business development process from awareness, discovery, consideration, go through procurement processes for system validation, and contract within their segment.
- They will support the overall global Commercial strategy for Evinova. Covering the long-term business commercial strategy, pricing, marketing approach for the product and services, and priorities to meet agreed goals, including all product marketing strategy, pricing strategy, customer segmentation, prioritization and meeting commercial top-line goals.
- External leading figure and leader with vision, attracting new customers across the top 5 CROs, top 20 pharma companies, and top biotech organizations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- The VP of Business Development will be responsible and accountable for key decisions related to customer segmentation, pricing, and providing critical input to product strategy and roadmap prioritisation.
- This role will primarily focus on CRO and Biotech relationships, leading this sector for Evinova and developing further dedicated individuals to deliver successful outcomes and meet targets.
- Responsible for defining and leading commercial sales and input to marketing strategy development globally for Evinova, business development activities to identify new leads, ensuring marketing activities are in place, and landing sales to grow the entity from external revenue.
- Lead the Commercial efforts to develop strategic collaborations with key customers in the CRO and Biotech segment, including revenue and contribution targets by year.
- Ensure products are leading in the industry, both those already developed and new ones. Contribute to product development by demonstrating the customer voice
- Solving issue and handling risks as it relates to customers.
- And ensuring that customer services and customer operations are in place, therefore leading the full end-to-end customer journey from sale to support.
- Managing the business as it scales globally to ensure correct resources are in place, or acquired in the case where needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 15+ years of experience
- Well-known in the industry with extensive experience in software sales and delivery of commercial value
- Significant experience in commercial sales in this sector, software for pharma.
- Exceptional network and sales experience externally and well recognised and reputation.
- Significant experience in Commercial and Operational management.
- Extensive experience bringing innovation to solve complex and multi-dimensional issues from an operational, technical, financial, and human perspective.
- Proven ability to influence at the most senior level in external organisations to get to sales.
- Proven experience driving global change in complex organisations.
- Significant knowledge and experience in sales, marketing, and pricing.
- Organizational agility -- builds consensus through formal and informal channels and relationships; organizationally savvy

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $187,312.80 - $280,969.20. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
