Axial Deployment – Supplier Insights Data Analyst (18 months secondment/FTC)
Location: Warsaw
Hybrid Model: 3 days per week from office
Join AstraZeneca, a purpose-led global organisation, as we embark on a large-scale transformation programme – Axial.
The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA, a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data, and real-time reporting, redefining the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.
The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities, and is central to most core business processes. This is a once-in-a-generation programme for AstraZeneca and will shape our ways of working globally for many years to come.
A critical component of the Axial programme is the effective engagement of all external third parties (including healthcare professionals and companies, government bodies, vendors, and customers) impacted by the deployment. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join the Axial Third Party workstream.
The role will focus on supporting the workstream's data management activities, including cleaning, processing, and aligning large data sets across multiple systems and databases. This work is critical to ensure data integrity and consistency across the programme's third-party engagement and business transformation efforts.
Accountabilities:
- Perform large-scale data cleaning, categorisation and processing activities, primarily using Excel and associated tools.
- Analyse and align large datasets, identifying and resolving duplicates, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
- Support the integration of multiple databases, ensuring accurate consolidation and harmonisation of data from different systems.
- Partner closely with internal teams, including Procurement, Finance, Operations, Communications, and Deployment Leads, to validate and maintain the integrity of third-party stakeholder data.
- Develop repeatable data quality checks, validation processes, and reporting to support ongoing data management activities.
- Provide clear and actionable data insights to workstream leaders to enable informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Data Enablement and Deployment teams to ensure local deployment countries validate and cleanse their third-party vendor data.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of data processes, methodologies, and data management standards.
- Escalate data quality risks and issues to appropriate stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution.
- Continuously improve data handling processes, leveraging automation and efficient data processing techniques where possible.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in large-scale, complex transformation or ERP deployment programmes.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, including handling large data sets, complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data cleansing techniques.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in data quality management, duplication removal, data validation, and alignment across multiple sources.
- Familiarity with database integration, data mapping, and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple business functions and global teams, operating in a matrixed environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate data outputs.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
