The Philadelphia, PA site manufactures a life-saving influenza vaccine. Our product is aseptically filled into sprayers for nasal administration. The site consists of two geographic locations - a facility at Red Lion Road in NE Philadelphia and the Bensalem storage and distribution facility. The facilities are about 8 miles apart and both are situated close to I-95, the city of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia International Airport. Our site is highly collaborative where we show our Philly pride in all we do. We work closely together, always striving to be better every day. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the management, execution and delivery of capital and strategic projects including development of project plans and timelines via established project management tools.  Successful Project Management includes identification and recommendation of the best business solution and business case, develop a project plan, and then deliver the project plan to achieve business results. 

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure business cases are developed and approved for small and large projects aligned to site and product strategy.
  • In coordination with stakeholders and sponsors, development of project business case, scope, timeline, and resource requirements.
  • Manage project execution and ensure projects are delivered to budget, on time and with business case delivered.
  • Active utilization of site portfolio management to ensure strategic projects are prioritized.
  • Ensure timely and accurate capital reporting for all projects and ensure accurate forecasting for 2-5 year strategic plan is included in financial forecasting.
  • Exhibit strong facilitation skills to drive project teams to deliver results, manage conflicts and deliver solutions.
  • Escalate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders, while establishing achievable mitigation & contingency planning.
  • Utilization of tools to identify, manage, and communicate processes and risks.
  • Timely and effective verbal and written communication to teams and to stakeholders.
  • Provide Mentoring to other Project Leaders, team members, or Sponsors on the project management and execution as required.

Essential for the role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Science. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Project Management experience.  Experience in pharmaceuticals is desirable.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and/or Six Sigma Certification is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in delivering strategic, complex, cross-functional projects on-time, on-budget and to committed deliverables to generate significant business value.
  • Demonstrated strong team management skills with the ability to successfully mentor, coach and development people capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communications skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast pace.
