Medical Lead, CVRM

The Medical Lead manages team of Field Medical Professionals to ensure effective brand awareness and education is conducted, and to maximise interactions and relationships with Key Opinion Leaders. Lead the unit to professionalism and excellence, while looking at all the goals and objectives and building a comprehensive strategy. May also oversee field based projects e.g. clinical trial and/or patient safety functions.
Typical Accountabilities
Building working procedures for communication with the region and the global teams
Building a unified strategy for managing patient access programs
Building a uniform plan for the supportive of investigators initiated studies
Setting uniform standards for the support of global studies of AstraZeneca
Systematic planning to provide maximal support for NHB processes
Building an engagement plan for leading experts and heads of CVRM institutes
Generating a comprehensive budget plan considering the needs of each product and the overview off the entire CVRM franchise
Establishing a medical team with high scientific and communication skills
Building an annual support program to enable physicians' travel to international conferences
Maximizing the contribution of the medical CVRM team to the cross teams
Involvement in building annual medical plans and make sure that their implementation and execution is done in the best possible way.
Defines and delivers training for junior members of the team
Designs or manages the implementation of the Field Medical Liaison strategy within Medical affairs
Develops knowledge of global issues and builds Field Medical Liaison strategies around these, ensuring their inclusion into AstraZeneca’s annual business objectives
Provides expert advice in area of specialism, influencing the development of brand awareness and education to external stakeholders such as physicians and other healthcare providers
Networks with opinion leaders such as leading academics and high profile healthcare practitioners to favourably influence public opinion on AstraZeneca products and treatments
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
PhDOr MD or DVM
Thorough knowledge and/or experience within the pharmaceutical industry and area of field medical liaisons
Extensive experience in relationship and stakeholder management
Ability to build and lead a team,
Ability to build a comprehensive strategy, translating strategy into tactics.
Excellent interpersonal - ability to work in a cross team
Ability to advise and lead clinical trials and patient safety projects
Project management experience
Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales and marketing
Desirable
Qualified Doctor
Extensive knowledge of the latest technical and regulatory expectations
Experience managing medical affairs team
