What you’ll do
We are seeking for a Senior Scientist in the Cell Therapeutics team within the Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering Department to support pre-clinical research of innovative therapeutic products. Expertise in T-reg biology and T-reg cell-based therapy is critical for this role. The candidate will be part of an interactive team with potential to contribute to multiple pre-clinical T-reg therapy-related technology development. Extensive and current hands-on experience in human and mouse T-reg cell culture and assays and in vivo models is required. Work experience using viral vectors such as lentiviral vectors is desired. The ability to multi-task is critical. A successful candidate must be well-organized and must keep an excellent written record of their work. They must also be able to communicate clearly in oral and written form with supervisor and various project team members.
Essential for the role
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Immunology, or other relevant scientific discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience; or MS degree in Cell Biology or Immunology or similar field with 10+ years of relevant experience; or BS degree in Cell Biology, Immunology. Or similar field with 15+ years of relevant experience In-depth knowledge in immune cell therapy and extensive hands-on experience in CAR-T, CAR-macrophages, T-reg therapies
- Experience with human and mouse T-reg culturing and relevant assays
- Expertise with animal models and in vivo studies
- Proven record of productivity as evidenced by strong publications in leading peer reviewed journals.
- Effective communication skills and excellent team player
Desirable for the role
- Stem cell (iPSC, ESC or HSC) differentiation into T cells
- Viral and non-viral gene delivery systems
- Experience in synthetic biology, chimeric receptor engineering and/or genome editing
