ABOUT THE ROLE

Technical BA for Aveva-PI DevOps– Reports to DevOps Lead (Operations IT SSD)

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Responsible for the technical delivery of the PI platform & integrations in projects. Works closely with the Project PM and supports/advises regarding project status & risks and issues.

  • Provide design and testing oversight & assurance and ensure accelerated project delivery with high quality.

  • Hands-on leadership, coaching, planning, coordination, and delivery of technical aspects of integration projects. Includes setting up and facilitating meetings, tracking, reporting and communicating progress, as well as risks and issues as necessary.

  • Contributing, updating and maintaining standards (incl Playbook) together with the Capability and

  • Ensures robust PI integrations to source systems and adherence to playbook, standards & guidelines to meet set requirements

  • Creation, review and approval of documentation acc to WPL, for example requirements, design specifications, test scripts and qualification/validation documentation

  • Works closely with Site BA to understand requirements of the project and provide technical advice during requirements gathering.

  • Collaborate closely with multiple AZ teams, for example business users/customers, architecture, infrastructure & middleware teams.

  • Collaborate closely with external partners such as equipment & system vendors, advising on technical requirements, resolving issues and potential improvements

  • Support site teams (both Operations and IT) with PI knowledge, for example to investigate new use cases

  • Continuous improvements of processes and contribute to the Improvements backlog

  • Active participation & contribution to the PI Tech BA network

Essential Experience: (Must have skills)

  • 8-10 years of prior technical support experience with deeper knowledge in Aveva PI data historian application

  • Should have experience in implementation, RT reports developments, maintenance and technical support of Aveva PI system

  • Strong understanding of Aveva PI architecture and business functionality

  • Strong understanding of the ISA 95 architecture and exposure to automation layer

  • Rich experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps tools

  • Should be strong in database (Oracle /SQL) querying and writing stored procedures

  • Should be able to work collaboratively and efficiently with multiple teams in multiple geographies

  • Experience on Windows/UNIX application environment and understanding of client-server / distributed computing concepts.

  • Understanding of incident, problem, change, release management processes

  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups.
